"Bandhanwar" refers to a decorative door hanging or toran typically used in Indian households during festivals, celebrations, and auspicious occasions. These ornamental hangings are crafted to enhance the beauty of entrances and doorways, symbolizing a warm welcome and festive spirit.
These Tanjore Bandhanwars or Tanjore Toran were designed in-house by our creative director and can be customised as per the Gate sizes along with the width. Mainly there are two patterns: one with auspicious religious embossed symbols which can be chosen by the client and another one with intricate floral and geometric patterns that are meticulously crafted without symbols.
Bandhanwars showcased vibrant colours, intricate designs, and traditional craftsmanship. The embossed gold foil gives a luxurious look to the entrance and is known for its positive effects preventing negative energies.
They feature traditional motifs, religious symbols, or elements inspired by nature. Common patterns include flowers, leaves, peacocks, elephants, and religious symbols like "Swastika", "Om" and "Ashtamanglik"
